Stress relief

For Mother's Day, my husband gave me a massage gift card. Massages always make me happy, since I carry a lot of my stress in my neck and shoulders. It is still sitting on our table, though.  Lately, several life issues have occurred that have kept me so busy that there has been no time for me to take advantage of it.  Some days have just been plain stressful, which resulted in me becoming upset and irritable.  Thankfully, I have been able to use other methods, like prayer, taking deep breaths, and asking others for help until my schedule clears up so I can get my long-awaited massage.

Clutter also causes a lot of stress. I recently finished a major organizing project for one of my clients.  Her storage closet was in disarray, which caused her a lot of embarrassment and anxiety.  Together, we were able to purge and sort through her closet, which took a while, but she did a great job of keeping what was important, donating other items, and throwing other items away. I was able to clear out space and use what she had to add some decorating touches. Thankfully, after I was done organizing her closet, she loved what I had done for her and she could breathe a sigh of relief.  This is how we add value to your life - by relieving stress.

In my last blog, I wrote about finding that work-life balance, and it is time to review what I wrote.  As a wife, mother, blogger, and entrepreneur, it can be challenging to juggle work and life and also find time for myself, let alone get adequate sleep.  In the work-life balance seminar, one of the presenters used to think of sleep as a luxury, but now, she considers it a necessity.  I know I am guilty of thinking like that as well.  It is time to change my mindset towards sleep.

So for now, I need to go get that massage to add balance to my life.  I can't wait!
